I don't get why a lot of community members are so fixated on phone numbers. I mean, it's easy to get them since it's very uncomfortable and impolite not to give it out when someone is asking for it directly. a lot of girls give out the number and then don't respond if they are not interested. A more valid measure would be numbers with further writing going on.

Have you verified that the numbers are genuine? Not to doubt your word but here are a lot of young guys who just count numbers without even trying to contact them, and getting a bunch of fake numbers is no achievement at all.

1 All numbers are real. This is how I know: When you approach a stranger and are doing everything right you will feel this very specific thing happen- like you unlocked her lock. It's a very specific thing where all of the sudden her guard will be completely down, she will be smiling the entire time and saying stuff like "what are you guys doing later?". You will feel like you can do anything with her from that point on. I was coughing a bit so didn't want to try to hook up with anyone until I got unsick but probably could have hooked up with at least two of them. One of them gave me her biz card with her acting headshot on it and cell number on the back, I texted my name to two of them and they texted back already.

2 Oh another thing I noticed that was cool. My friend is a terrible wingman but that didn't matter. One hot blonde had three of her gfs look so annoyed and actively tried to cockblock a few times. It was impossible though. My girl wouldn't acknowledge them and at one point gently pushed one of her gfs away. So my point is if you're doing it right it doesn't matter what the cockblockers do they will fail if the girl really wants you.

3 Another thing my friend pointed out there were way more girls in packs of 3 for some reason. Lots of times I was talking to the hottie and he had to try to entertain 2 chicks ( and he failed everytime lol but it didn't matter ). So my point is - it's much better to go out with two buddies instead of one. I told him, we should find another dude, he's like yeah.

4 Also, I noticed the first 5 seconds are everything. If you fuckup in the first 5 seconds it's insanely hard to reverse her idea of who you are. It feels like they makeup their mind right away. So be super relaxed and confident the first 5 seconds ( you do that by thinking of what you're gonna say before you approach and just say it like a monologue not a dialogue ).

5 the reason I would give them space is because a lot of really hot chicks are concerned that you're gonna be that one nice guy who clings and follows them all night and keeps trying. We've all seen that guy who has no chance but he's sticking around. Or the super aggressive dude who won't leave her alone. If you chat her up leave and "run into her again" you'll accomplish a few things a) she'll instantly feel like you won't be that clingy guy b) it shows confidence and that you're not needy and that you might even not like her that much which means she'll have to work a bit to keep your attention ( girls love that shit ).

6 What else am I forgetting. Worth noting I'm in my 30s most of the chicks were like 22 one said she was 28 but she looked like 21. They were all different. One hipster chick, one chick who was talking like a rapper but was really hot, one actress who seemed a bit "normal" and in the box, the rest were "party chicks".

7 Oh another thing that I always knew but it was confirmed last night: fashion is for you, it's not for them. Meaning if you feel like you look good and are confident the girls won't care what you're wearing. I didn't have time to go home and change before we went out so I ended up wearing something stupid and it didn't matter cause I didn't give a fuck about it.

8 Once you "unlock" the first two chicks it gets much easier. At a certain point I felt like I could have hooked up with any chick I wanted. You sort of get more confident with each number you get.

9 I only got rejected twice the entire night. The first one I couldn't hold my cough and was coughing too much I think that freaked her out and the entire time we were talking I was thinking to myself like "wtf is this chicks problem" - she just wouldn't "let me in". She gave me a hard time about not drinking blah blah. I could have gotten her number but that would have been one of those situations where the number could have been fake and she wasn't really that pretty in the first place so I just let it go. The other one was a bartender at this super hard-to-get-into spot and she was just ridiculously good looking. It was slow and I told my buddy how how confident and hot she was and he mentioned something like "that's not gonna happen" which pissed me off and made me wanna try. i was like "you think she's out of my league?" ha ha ( my ego was talking ). Anyway I bought her a few shots and we were chatting but i didn't make a move for whatever reason. I'm really good with touching and it helps me alot so for me it's much harder to pickup a girl behind the bar maybe that was it.

10 Oh just remembered this. If you're at a club, a street or a bar don't say anything that can be ignored. I was telling my buddy this cause he needs to work on this. Meaning if you're not loud enough and confident enough they'll just ignore you cause it's easier for them to do that. But you don't want to be so loud that you seem like the drunk obnoxious loud guy. My friend's tone of voice is perfect for coffee shops and daytime stuff but at night he needs to be louder when getting their attention at first. I'm probably forgetting other stuff, if you have questions please ask.

EDIT: Just realized another thing that helped last night is that prior to going out I already had more chicks that i could keep up with in my life so I think on some level that helped me as well cause I really was only interested in the super interesting/cute ones. ( I have so many okay ones already aggressively trying to hang out ). I remember months ago when I was struggling and couldn't get any dates I was "on a mission" and that made it a lot harder to get girls.

As other people mentioned: I wonder how many of those numbers are good. In general, I've found that if I didn't have a great interaction with a girl, but I asked (and got) her number, that she wouldn't respond later when I texted her. (I don't know if she gave me a fake number, or if she simply decided to ignore me expecting that I'd get the hint. My guess is the later.)

The trick is to repeat it back to them but intentionally mess up one of the last numbers. If she corrects you it's legit, if not then you know

ok, so months ago you had trouble getting a date.

then you became a man on a mission.

then you are on fire and get 7 numbers in one night.

the more interesting question is not how many numbers you got last night but what did you do over the last couple of months to have so many women in your life that you didn't give a fuck.

i want to know because i am recently single, just started okcupid and am texting with two girls. actually, just one girl because one of them is flaking.

so -- what do i do over the next two months to get so many chicks going that i don't give a fuck?????

I'm currently in a shithole where I either get fake numbers or the girl won't respond to my first texts even though I thought the interaction went super well.

I'm just curious of those 7 numbers, how many of them actually responded to your first text?
