Sorry if the title line sounds dubious--I just have no other way to ask this question. I'll define "low-value guy" as kind of guy who could use 15 dating sites for an entire year and get shut-out by literally everyone (by this I mean, he might get replies, but never even one date/hangout.)

More info about the kind of "low value" I mean: let's say the guy is 5'9", thin, and healthy, but he's far from buff, he has no social status, no prestige of any kind, no money, etc.

This subreddit goes on and on about high-value males vs. low-value males, saying that women "want the best they can get in every situation" therefore implying any woman who has options, would therefore never have romantic/sexual interest in a "low value guy" as in my description. As far as "decent woman" goes, I'll make the definition simple... it's just a woman "who definitely has some options." I don't want to make this into some kind of cruel debate, either. It's just about making a point.

I want to try to prove this RP/EvoPsych thinking wrong for once, with quality anecdotes. And the more jarring the example (for instance, a model-esque woman who was the envy of many, dating some 5'9" thin guy with no college degree or job) the more kudos you will get. You have to be believable though; I don't want folks "making crap up" either for the laughs, or for the props.

Does this kind of thing happen, ever? I'd be interested to know the ins-and-outs of it, if it ever does happen.
