I had a bit of a dilemma recently. I was seeing two girls, HB8 and HB7. They are completely opposite girls. HB8 loves to go out and drink and party, while HB7 is a quiet, cute, innocent church girl. I had a lot of fun with both of them, but it was becoming obvious that it wouldn't be possible to see both of them simultaneously.

I had plans to go out with HB8 on Friday night, but she cancelled. I found out later that this was because she saw a picture of me with another girl and got mad/jealous, so she stayed home. So, Friday I went out with friends and kept it fairly low key. Later in the night, I ran into HB7 and ended up walking her home. At her place, she outright asked me if I was seeing anyone else, so I told her that I was seeing one other girl -- HB8. She asked if we had kissed, and I admitted that we had. She asked if we slept together, and I admitted that we had. She told me she didn't want a serious relationship either, as I had stated, but that she didn't one to be "one of many" girls I was seeing.

I met HB7 again Saturday night, and things went fairly well. We were out all night drinking with other friends. When it came to the end of the night, we went back to my place. She seemed slightly hesitant, but when she asked where we were going, I just said to my place, and she accepted it. She brought up the other girl a couple times, but it didn't stop her from coming back to my place. We hooked up and she left in the morning while I was still asleep.

Sunday I met up with HB8 and went hiking. While we were hiking HB7 texted me telling me that we shouldn't meet anymore, because it "hurt [her] pride". I told her that I understood and just left it at that. After we hooked up, I honestly lost a bit of interest anyway, because the physical chemistry with HB8 is much stronger, but I also didn't want it to seem like I just wanted to hook up with her and dump her. She really was a sweet girl, so I didn't want to hurt her, which was why I was honest when she asked me, even though I felt like it would end what we had going on.

Looking back on it, it was a good learning experience, and probably ended about as well as it could have ended realistically. I was having a bit of an ethical dilemma about seeing both girls at the same time, but was being a bit greedy and delaying choosing between them, and it was probably best for her own peace of mind to be the one to call if off rather than to have me hook up with her and dump her. That being said, it was ended rather amicably, and there is a pretty good chance I'll run into her again, so I feel like it won't be awkward if I do.
