Small update. whole this happened a week ago. Today we were with other colleagues for a couple of beers. She sat next to me. Small Kino, cocky and funny, but I don't think this will lead to something. There was no chance to escalate further or bring up the previous "hugging"... Now I don't know if it will ever be appropriate

Honestly, I don't know what to do as my next move or whether to try more (I still think there is a little attraction, or I would like to think? )

A woman doesn't want to be with a man who she needs to tell to hug him. So by dutifully complying with her request, you actually exacerbate the situation, not alleviate it. How can she trust you're doing it because you want to and not because she told you to? It's also boring and predictable. Instead, you need to be unpredictable and march to the beat of your own drum. As I always say, just because a woman asks you to do something, doesn't mean you have to do it. And if you do it, it doesn't have to be in the way she expects.

My first step would be to maybe playfully tease her about it. Then based on how she responded, I'd probably build some tension and then move in and kiss her. But the bigger lesson is that when a woman is interested in you, and you're interested in her, make moves. Rather than waiting for "some time" and for her to actually call it out for you to actually do something.
