How do you approach women at crowded bars when everyone’s in their own group?

When you’re at a packed bar, you’re usually with your group and the girls are with theirs, all kind of facing inward and doing their own thing. It feels weird to just walk up out of nowhere, and I never really know how to break into that circle without it being awkward.

What’s the best way to go about it? How do you approach a group naturally in that kind of environment without coming off weird or interrupting?
