So... My date cancelled on me earlier tonight. I'm a little ticked off but I would have been fine with it if she chose to inform me earlier in the day.

Basically, it all started a few days ago when I ran into a girl who I had met through a friend. I've always had a feeling this girl had a crush on me. Anyways, we talked for a little and she mentions that she has to go but that we should talk more over coffee sometime this week. She tells me that she is free during the nights after 7pm. I get her number, tell her I'll contact her and that we'll set something up. She said she was looking forward to it.

Fast forward to 2 days later. I text her briefly with plans to meet up later in the week. She tells me she has work that day but shes free after. I tell her we should meet after work and she agrees. Then I don't say anything until the day of the date.

So around 6pm I text her to see what time exactly she can meet up. She responds with a paragraph of why she can't meet up, all having to do with her being tired and having work again at 5am.

A part of me wants to believe her, the other part wants to call her bullshit. Even if she was telling the truth, why the hell would she wait until I text her for her to cancel on me? She must have known she was tired earlier... She could have informed me then and not an hour before she gets off work. (Remember: Her availability started at 7 and it ends when coffee shops close which is 9 maybe 10pm?)

It's one thing getting flaked on because a girl might not know how to say no to a date until its too late, its another when she was the one that suggested it!

Anyways, I didn't texted her back. I didn't think her way of flaking warranted a response from me. I didn't want to lie and say "Oh it's okay!" when I really thought it was rude and inconsiderate... So I said nothing.
