How do you “just do it?”

It's just like cliff diving. The more you think, the worse it gets. Don't look for anything in your mind to justify taking action, don't wait for anything to feel "right", just force yourself into the situation, just like you would when you just jump off the damn cliff.

Once you're falling through the air or in the conversation then you have no choice but to do what needs to be done.

Think of the most common nerve wracking things in life. Do you really spend months meditating, doing affirmations, deeply reflecting, etc before you drive on the open road for the first time, or before you do a public speech, or before you skydive?

By thinking you need all that noise you're making cold approach a bigger deal than it needs to be. You're not going to war or trying to make it back to civilization after being lost in bear infested woods. You're just talking to girls.

Mystery really messed guys up with that survival and replication stuff in his books because of the way he explained the fear of the approach.

But not because it's false, it's actually true. There is absolutely a deep evolutionary reason to be afraid to approach.

But here's what you're missing, the exact same thing exists for driving on the open road, public speaking, and skydiving. It sure as shit exists for being in a war or trekking through bear infested woods, moreso than it ever has for cold approach.

You only thought approaching was more significant because its the only thing you heard an evolutionary explanation for, when in reality, the vast majority of your fears come from instincts that have evolved over generations.

If it was based purely on Nature, cold approach wouldn't be that scary. Its the Nurture that you experience from the seduction community that makes it worse than it actually is.

We're the problem. It's us as a community that blows cold approach out of proportion. We gotta stop overhyping cold approach and just take that leap.

It's a skill you get better at slowly. Understand that thinking is your enemy in this case. You want to beq thinking when you try to figure out practical solutions in your everyday life or when you are brainstorming for something. You absolutely don't want to be thinking when you are at any point during an interaction with someone, and that includes before you approach them. You just go in, focused, completely locked in your body and what it's doing in the moment, devoid of all thoughts about yourself and what any of what you are doing means, about who the girl is with, how you compare to her or any of the guys she usually likes; you just don't have that luxury.

Also, in this subreddit, the idea approaching in any location at any cost has become this super necessary thing to do. While I think it's a great skill to have, and I'm certainly not dismissing it, we have to give ourselves some grace. It's a very difficult thing to do and that has to be acknowledged to relieve some of the pressure I see give guys here putting on themselves. You have to understand that almost no one does this and a lot of them live mostly satisfying lives. We have to make this thing fun and light and as something that just enhances our life as it is compeltely counterproductive to see it in a way that wear us down and stresses us out.

Anyway, I don't have practical solutions for you since I don't really ''approach'' in the way that we talk about it on here. I just know for sure that the focus should be everything being fun and light-hearted. You are as good as anyone, or you have at least the potential to be. Women are just as insecure as you and probably more. Your doubts, while understandable, can't be justified in any way here, you aren't going at war; you are going after something you desire as a whole and the woman you see is just there to make your day better with her voice, demeanor, smile and all that sweet stuff. She's not there to help you be able to convince yourself of your own worth. Just think about a way to do it in a fun way while slowly challenging yourself. Better to not do it at all than to kill your peace with doubts. All the best!

Create a context to make things easier.

An easy opener you can use at school or work is with a leather bracelet. Pretend you can’t tie the knot on your right wrist with your left hand, so you have a perfect excuse to ask a girl for help. While she ties the knot, make a simple remark like, “I’m curious how you’d look with this bracelet, let's try it, it only takes 30 seconds...” or "I owe you a beer. What, you don’t drink alcohol? That sucks! I thought you were the type who dances on tables in bars, throws chairs and bottles in the air, rips clothes off... " .... And just like that, you’ve started a conversation.

Don’t say it’s difficult! Just walk up to a girl, act like you’re struggling to tie the knot, and once she looks at you, ask for help. It couldn’t be easier than that! Or even look at a girl while you "struggle" to tie the knot. It’s a move she will instinctively understand, you need her help.

Too much thinking, more doing. The heck you mean barge in. Are you disturbing queen Mary of England from her talks with friends? Is she talking to a diplomat from France? Your not a peasant and she is no queen. It's another person. Your putting them above you thinking that way not wanting to disturb or get in the way.

Talk to them like it's another person, you want something? That's fine just express interest or whatever you wanna say without being creepy or weird. Yeah confidence is gonna help with that but do you need confidence when you ask some random person for direction?

I think not. Just talk to em and strike up a conversation. Is it methods or ideas you want? Many things you can try with that. But get the idea your gonna bother people out of your head.

go for warm approach not cold approach then. i don’t like cold approach much bc of the same thoughts. i’m not saying cold approach doesn’t yield success as well, but for me, i feel much more comfortable and confident chatting up a stranger who’s given some signals of interest like eye contact, smile, hovering nearby, etc.

Your problem is you can't insert yourself into social settings easily. You need to talk to people and work on your social aptitude. Once you can talk to a multitude of people regardless of age or race then you find it easy to meet women.
