Empathize with her. Women like to bond by sharing their problems. But do NOT offer solutions, she doesn't want solutions. But you need to cut her off.

The phrase I heard some mPUA suggest is simple, and it works wonders. I've used it many times and it can stop a raging woman dead in her tracks. Memorize this:

"I understand how you feel, but I don't think it's good for you to dwell on these negative thoughts."

Seriously, memorize that and use it word for word. That is a precision instrument to stop negative ranting.

Cut her off. Let her vent for a bit and then quickly change the subject. If you have to joke with her/lightly tease her or be cocky/funny, do it.

Make it known that you aren't down to hear her rants or problems constantly by taking control of the conversation.

As soon as she realizes that you are okay with her ranting, you will quickly become someone she rants to and you are then on the fast track to the friendzone

"I don't want to hear your complaining, we're here to have fun" Just cut them off and change the subject, you don't want to become their emotional tampon, don't let it become a habit.
