How to be approachable

Eye contact, not long, but meet someones eyes for a second and go back to your book. Maybe also have something out of the ordinary people can talk to you. An excuse to ask you something. I can be a very flashy phone case, a certain sticker, a ring or maybe a unusual necklace. Maybe a cigar on the table. But it doesnt need to be an item. If you block a whole table alone others might come and ask you if a seat is taken. Or maybe they need to use the conputer next to you.

Make sure you notice other people (so you dont sit in your own little world, or appear to be atleast) and give them an excuse to talk to you.

Thats how youre approachable.

No clue what your goal is though it seems like you want to meet people without making the first step...

First, stay safe. This pandemic is still real and becoming a spreader is not the least bit attractive.
Second, practice having conversations in which you genuinely focus on listening to the other person and find a way to be empathetic about what they share with you. Bartenders who make bank and get laid are excellent listeners. Most people don't get listened to because few people listen and just want to tell their story. Be that 1 in 100 person that listens to the story of others with intention and compassion. You will be a hero, and you will naturally become attractive to others.
Third, you are a university student so you are learning how to learn. Google "how to listen" and look for methods that challenge you but make sense to you. Learn the skills and practice them.

Are you good looking? If you are, then a slight smile and a bit of eye contact is enough. If you are not then you gotta approach people, gotta put in some work.

Honestly just think happy thoughts. Doing that simple thing will change your body language entirety which woman are better at a subconscious level of reading. Also because your thinking happy thoughts you will give off a much friendlier vibe which in turn also make you confident

You have it backwards. You’re not the one being approached. You do the approaching. The question will then be “How do I approach?”. The best advice I can give there is by approaching and speaking to many people. Through time, patterns emerge. Good luck.

I’m also in college and have been able to meet a lot of people by reaching out to the ones I already know. Even the simple act of texting a friend to hang out to study or go out will allow you to meet their friends and the people they know.
