So I’m a great conversationalist and flirt. I’m pretty damn witty and I’m good at teasing. I can connect with people over almost anything, I’m super outgoing, and I can always find something to start a conversation with. I love connecting with people!

But, I struggle to get it to materialize into anything romantically, at least in terms of a cold approach. Just the other week I was chatting with a girl at the bar and she parted ways before I could think to get her number. Yesterday at the grocery store I had a nice convo with someone in line, but it felt like I was keeping her from checking out and it felt like she was looking to move away so I hesitated. These types of situations happen pretty frequently, where I’m kicking myself for not asking or for not saying a killer line in the moment.

I’m not sure what I could have done differently, but some coaching would be appreciated! Particularly looking for insight on any good way to close out without creating a scene, causing discomfort for the other person, etc. Looking to get back out there and take a couple swings.
