I notice when guys say they have no confidence talking to a woman it’s usually because they overthink it, not because they’re not confident.

Overthinking freezes your brain thus your moves. Don’t think, just do. This is why I personally like 3 second rule. You see her, you think she’s hot, you talk to her all in 3 seconds. The longer you think the less likely you’ll do it.

I guess in bar people are more high energy, more relaxed, more eager to have some fun and get crazy. With standard social situations you need to tone it down a little bit in the beginning to stay congruent with the mood and not scare away or annoy others. Start with something chill and if person responds positively, you can get with your usual high energetic vibe.

When you saw the girl, anxiety kicked in, that’s because your mindset is that’s in a party people are willing to socialise in the elevator she is probably not as willing.

This makes you feel like if you did that you would maybe be bothering her or upsetting her, as if she did not asked to be hit on and that she is busy.

You feel it’s inappropriate to tell her something or that she will react badly, so you need to think how can I make this more respectful and more welcomed by her? That is by a telling her that you like something about her that you need to specify and then add that this is the reason why you want y get to know her.

This lets her know what you actually want, because if you don’t tell her what you want or why you are talking to her she will feel unsettled. This is why you va have no anxiety because anxiety knows simply saying something without saying what you actually want by talking to her in an elevator will likely not get the same type of response as when you are in a party.

So yeah, remember you need to be clear with her before she asks what do you want, you need t say fist things first that you want to get to know her and specify why you want to get to know her. You don’t wanna start saying observations or asking her questions without first telling her hey excuse me, i want to get to know you because I love x thing about you”
