1: Accept that sometimes a conversation just won't last more than 15 seconds, a minute, etc. Don't force it.
2: People love talking about themselves. People don't as much enjoy talking about you.
3: Every time they say something, ask yourself "is there anything in what they just said that I can branch this conversation into?" IF yes, do that. If no, ask yourself "Is there any way I can relate to that and open up a new avenue of something to talk about?
Example she says "I have a degree in biology". You can branch that into "Oh? Where did you go to college?" Or "Wow what interests you most about biology". Or "I remember back in 7th grade dissecting frogs. Did you have to do a lot of that?"
4: Try not to make it 20 questions by commenting about something she said before you ask something else. One or two sentences is fine, gauge if she's interested in what you're saying. Continue if so but change the subject if not.
5: People feed off your excitement level. Act (slightly) more excited to talk to them / more interested in what they're saying than you would in a normal conversation.

id like to add: volunteer information. "if she says "how was your day" don't say "good" say "good/tiring/lame./awesome/a roller coster I did XY and Z" she now has 3 jumping off points, you shared more information so she has a slightly better feel of who you are, and you set the pater for the conversation. The pattern being that the participants volunteer information.
and sharing short stories is a grate thing to do to. Just don't be a douche about with it.

Don't try. Love is like a fart. If you need to force it, it's probably shit.

Best saying I've heard today

you really need technical knowledge to make conversation with people. forcing conversation is not ideal, but if you have blocks, and approach it wrong it won't "just happen". You can't apply to method used to burp to farting.

I'm not much of a talker either, but I do enjoy (and want) social interaction with others. What I try to do is get the other person to do most of the talking. You just have to break their shell and find what they like to talk about.

Mainly I mean interacting with girls I know (I go to the same dance club with them). I can only do small talk and what I'd like to achieve is that the girl will also be interested (asking questions in return). Right now the state is quite absymmal :D

In the initial approach phase you shouldnt be talking too much anyway. You only need to worry about talking during comfort
Initially just talk some to get her attention, then just stay silent if you dont have anything to say but project a good body language in doing so. Before comfort you can speak any nonsense as long as you are not coming of needy or desperate
Make more jokes while making eye contact. Share brief stories. screen, disqualify her. do push pull. make a role play. basically flirt more.

F.O.R.D Family, Occupation, Recreation, Dreams. Ask and talk about those things. Dont just ask questions, spin off jokes, respond with creative answers and observations

Today I had a nice experience in a social setting. conversing with friends and this girl that happened to sit across from me (OH NO!). Anyway, I just flowed with whatever, asked her if she had gray hairs already, or painted them. She made fun of something I did, and I told her to eat shit (smiling), she seemed kinda surprised, but smiled. I didn't focus on her 100% and had fun with others. I'd say it worked out well. She was much more talkative towards me and made suggestions/comments about hanging out sometime.
Just flow, be outcome-independent, and treat her like a dude, so she has fun.

Once you get some experience on dates, you'll understand that heavily pre planning conversation topics will be a shit show. Not only does it put more pressure on you by having an agenda, but it just feels stiff and unnatural. All you need to focus on is genuinely trying to find out things about her. When people say that women love to talk, it's not a lie. Most women genuinely will talk their asses off if given the chance. They unload a truckload of information and if you read between the sentences, you'll have questions for days. Ask questions and when she answers them, branch out and ask other questions. The simple truth is that you just have to be interested and the questions come naturally. Also, there's nothing wrong with a few silent seconds. Don't fear them. Sometimes they're actually just really nice and build sexual tension on both ends.
