Well title says it all. Haha today I went to a restaurant where a friend of mine was performing with his rock band. Accompanying me were a couple buddies. The usual nerd herd. I'm pretty chubby dude. Looks are not my strong suit. But I try to make it up with a sense of humor and confidence. Anyway, our waitress was beautiful like i fucking fell for her...and after an hour of sitting there, I decided I would ask her out. Told my friends and then I spent another hour contemplating how I would i ask, different scenarios, bulding up the courage, and blah blah blah. After an hour of that we payed for the meal and it was time. Do or die. If we were to leave without me asking I would regret this forever and I knew that for sure. So, I finally got up and approached her asking her name, which we'll say is Sarah, and whatever planned dialogue I had in my head...never came out. Instead I just said something along the lines of how I was sitting there trying to muster the courage to talk to her and if she would like to go out someday when she's free. She said had a bf. And I nodded, but she did admit that I was the first guy to ever ask her out in person and thanked me. Then I got my friends and we left. Surprisingly, the rejection didn't a hard impact. I was actually proud of myself more than anything. Really great moment in my life. So, yay to new found confidence.
