I'm an 18 year old guy that was in an all boys schools all the way to university, so it was kinda hard for me to interact with girls, but since my first year of university is almost over, i said fuck it and went to this girl to talk to her, this is pretty much all that happened

Me: "Hi, i thought you were beautiful. i had to come talk to you" Girl: "why?" Me: "I thought you were beautiful that's why." Girl: "is this a dare that your friends put you up to?" then i was trying to tell here that it isn't a dare or some shit but she just cut me off in the middle of the sentence by telling me " Thanks ( while doing the stop motion with her hand lol )" i told her have a nice day and left. I'm thankful for this sub for giving me the courage to actually approach a girl for the first time. Even though i got rejected I'm just proud of my self for having the confidence to do this.
