We've all had girls tell us that. What to do about it?

Before Christmas, I went on a couple of dates with a girl, and brought her home. Fun was had by all, we did everything short of sex. Over the break she showed several strong signs of interest. Texted me multiple times, first.

Then it seems a close friend declared his love at New Year's. Attracted as she was, that took precedence, they have a much deeper connection.

What to do next?:

  • Get angry
  • Say nothing
  • Say 'oh, ok. Good luck'
  • Have a fun conversation, then ask her to set me up with an attractive friend she mentioned repeatedly as being a good match for me.

I chose option 4, and it worked. I haven't seen this other girl, but her friend had been talking her up: nice body, very athletic, etc.

Worth meeting to find out, and I'm going in with strong social proof, since her good friend is endorsing me.

A lot of guys get hung up about friend zones, or girls doing flakey stuff like....starting to see another guy.

I see opportunity. Girls know other girls. If the situation warrants it, keep her around as a friend, and expand your social circle. In this case, we were not at all serious, so I'm not diving into emotional waters by doing this.
