I think a lot of people don’t realize that this shit doesn’t perfect itself overnight. You HAVE to fail. You HAVE to embarrass yourself, make yourself uncomfortable. And there will be a day when all of those struggles are worth it.

I just passed all four parts of the Certified Public Accountant exam (which took nearly 1,000 hours of studying) and I can tell you it was a whole lot easier than picking up women. It was easier because despite being demanding and exhausting it wasn't something that relied on someone else. In dating, you are relying on something that is ultimately not in your control. This is what make's it so hard for me. I had similar problems in job interviews for a while. In most areas of life when I don't have success I know what I did wrong and can fix it through hard work, but with dating and other relationships you can spend a very long time without knowing where things went wrong.
