Of course it doesn't work because you are a stranger, why she should give her phone number to a stranger?

Do things slowly, if you want to go that route with direct better: "hi, you seem really cute, who are you?/ let's talk for a minute" After you talk for a few minutes, she knows a few things about you, then you can ask for her phone number, otherwise it's too early.

You don't have to talk for an hour, 10-15 minutes is enough. I would say try escalating to kino if you see that everything is going well, but maybe that's too much for you .... so better just focus on conversation.

I always tell new folks to get the book How to Succeed With Women by Ron Louis and David Copeland. It's an old book but the advice still works.

Yeah that’s not the way to do it. Why do you need their number so bad? So you can get to know them over text? Get to know them first and then ask for the number. Even if you did get the number asking for it right away, they aren’t going to text you. You have to build rapport, make them laugh etc.

Notice when you did take the time to get to know them you got a better reaction.

Your first response is fine, go up to them and state the intent “I think you’re cute” etc. then start talking to them. If you feel it’s going well and they are engaged/laughing etc then go for the number. This will give you much better odds that they will 1) give you their number 2) they will actually reply to your texts and want to met up.

Any woman worth dating is going to immediately value a good conversation over conventional attractiveness, so just going up to a girl and saying ‘hey you’re cute can I have your number’ isn’t really going to work, I know it wouldn’t work on me.

Most women definitely do like to be complimented on their appearance, but speaking from the experience of me and my friends, being called funny or smart resonates a lot more.

My only piece of advice is to be creative, and also evaluate the type of woman you’re going up to. Here are some things I’ve seen work with my own two eyes: - Introducing yourself without expectation of getting a phone number (starts a conversation, you might find you’ve got nothing in common?) - Asking to dance in a club or bar (this happened to me once, but it was a Latin rooftop bar and neither of us are latin, so imagine the absolute worst salsa dancing of your life, very funny though and I’ll never forget it) - Going up to a girl and making a ‘bet’

Try asking out the shy girl too, it doesn’t help if you’re going after the girl who’s already had 5 guys ask for her number that day.

If I could go back and tell my younger self what to do, it would be: just make a move bro. Looking back, I missed so many go signals from chicks cuz I was an idiot. Important to be attractive, have a sexy hobby/ambition, and friends at that age. You don’t need money, cuz chicks your age are just looking for a fun time. So be fun.
