Yes, but you shouldn't.

This is a situation of even if you win, you lose.

The amount of effort you're already putting in for this girl is disproportionate to how far you've gotten with her.

Only a girl you're at least having sex with deserves this much effort.

To go beyond this and put in the effort necessary to fix this situation would be even worse.

Its not about pride. It's about staying level headed and objective.

Part of the reason you're asking this question right now is because you've already put in more effort than you should and you're already a bit attached and less willing to just let this go and move on.

On the more positive end, getting a definitive rejection from this girl can at least leave you bummed out and unwilling to get back on the horse for a week or two when you should be back out there meeting new women right now.

For a more worst case scenario, you actually end up with this girl but when her negative behaviours arise, you'll gradually let them slide because you'll be too scared to upset her and risk her wanting to breakup because of how invested you've become, therefore putting you in a relationship where you will be treated badly, will cost you more emotionally, physically, and even financially, and will likely end with her dumping you anyway after she's ruined you.

You might say, "That's ridiculous, most guys put this much effort into getting girls."

And you'd be correct.

But also, most guys are in relationships similar to what I described above.

Think about how many men are with women who just smack talk them openly in public, in front of her friends, his friends, her family, his family, doesn't matter.

Its so common it's just normalized in society.

Besides, following the herd is a bad idea in general. Most people are overweight too. You really want to be just like most people?

Be better than most people.

Use the amount of energy you would have directed into fixing this situation to meet 5 other women and do better with them instead.

Much of women’s bizarre behavior is explained when you realize their basic motivation for doing most things is emotion based and impulsive.

It’s entirely possible that she was feeling in the mood to do something when she was picking dates and then just fell out of it later.

That said, it’s good you know what your contribution to this all was.

First of all, why would she be planning dates in December? There’s absolutely no reason to be planning that far ahead. Even hinting at that will give her the impression that you’re simply going to wait around for her.. for another couple of weeks?

Next, you definitely did go too far. You invested way too much time into talking with her on the phone & probably speaking more than she did. Honestly, if you haven’t been flirting by this point then she’s probably just defaulting to you as her emotional pillow.

You do not want to give the impression that you’re just there to listen to her problems over the phone & that she gets to decide when & if you meet. You’re wasting your time doing that. She’s going to think of you as a backup.

If for whatever reason she can’t get any time off until December, then I’d distance myself a little and hit her up a few days before to plan a date. If she ignores again or keeps making up BS excuses about why she can’t, then just move on.

TBH, you can recover from this behavior but you need a major correction. You need to go from extremely emotional & available to less emotional & less available. You’re better on just moving on at this point but if you really want to, then please follow through on that & see what happens next.

Even if you guys plan a date & go on one, be sure to escalate. You’ve given enough of your emotional side, way too much, now it’s time to show your sexual, flirty, fun, masculine side. If she rejects that then again, she was just keeping you around as a friend or emotional tampon. Congrats, you saved yourself a lot of trouble, now you can move on.

Such long distance game is hardly ever worth investing effort and emotions. There are too big dynamics swings, which is pretty annoying in a long run, especially for a girl. Look out for different options, if you want to still keep in touch with this girl, keep your investment congruent with real life progress. Texting may be funny and all, but you can't cover the fact that you still did nothing in reality.
