Reach out your hand as if you're asking her to dance, without saying anything. If she asks tell her something simple, no need to explain further than "Give me your hand..." Then you can give her a hand massage, play with her fingers, whatever you want. Make it subtle. It's simple compliance testing.

I used to thumb wrestle. Make a bet out of it. Loser buys coffee at the next spot you're going to. My mentor taught me to always take them to at least 3 different places. He said this helps makes them feel like they've known you for a long time. Anyway, I used the bet to transition into the next spot. Good luck!

The important thing is do whatever is natural in the moment, and what you are comfortable with. So if you think palm reading is cheesy (I do too), then don't do it. Maybe let your legs touch under the table, but don't be looking for any and all excuses to reach across the table because that will come off as creepy.

One idea is to touch her hand/arm when you start telling a story.. for example, she says something, and it reminds you of something funny, so you touch her hand and say: "Oh that reminds me, get this story.." Another way is sharing food.. it is a different than traditional kino but it has a similar effect.

Always try to sit next to your date. It makes it more intimate. If you get double wide booth, tell her you want to sit next to her.

It's not always possible to do this, so it depends on how far you have previously escalated. If you have held her hands before, then doing as /u/k-lloyd suggested is easy. If this is your first date with this person, you be the judge on how receptive she has been throughout the night.

It depends on what kind of dinner this is. If it is more casual, kino/escalation is easier. If it is more formal and quiet, it will be more difficult.

What works for me quite a bit when sitting across a girl is playing footsy while acting like nothing is happening. Carrying conversation and so on forward.

Also if you can sit next to them and have your thighs touching, everytime I do this they feel more comfortable when I start escalating.

If you're going to do a dinner date with someone you haven't slept with yet, you need to make it a high-energy, interactive dinner date. Cook dinner together, either her place or yours. Go someplace where there's audience participation. Even a buffet style dinner, where you have to get up and walk around to get your food, would allow you to walk together and give you opportunities for contact.

If nothing else, pick someplace where you can sit next to her or at least on the corner with her.

Before dinner make sure you give her a nice hug. Plan something for after dinner where you will be able to escalate there as well, like going out for a walk or moving to a new venue.

A good compliance test is to hold out your hand, and ask her if she can dance.

If she puts her hand in yours, raise that hand up over your head (holding hers) which is a universal lead for "it's time to spin". If she turns, reward her, if not, frown at her, and show her that when that happen, she's supposed to do a spin. (Lower back kino, possible arm kino).

She is now used to your touch in a non-threatening way, and listening to instructions.
