I've been having my way with women for quite a bit, and there's this pattern I constantly notice happening on me, that I just cannot seem to keep away.

(With "her", i mean any woman - not a particular being)

When meeting up and starting to get along it usually goes right - mutual interest is shown, and it's just so easy to have her laugh and feel good around me, to make her want to keep on being with me.

It's all fine and goes well if I don't have any deep feelings for said woman and just want to enjoy the ride while it lasts.

It all seems to drastically change when my view of her changes - when I consider the possibility of a longterm relationship I just seem to be crushed down mentally - I find myself barging into my old self and trying hard to make her laugh, not knowing what to say, becoming clumsy and dependant. It rarely ends up well as you may guess, for reasons that need not be explained.

Is this a huge hole in my inner game?

Is there something I can do to keep myself the same in such a situation? I can get away with "longer" lasting relationships by not allowing myself to devote onto her, but I don't believe this would bring the same joy to me that being "all-in" with someone cherished would and I'm sure that's not how it's supposed to be.

So, fellow sedditors, if there's anything you know that could help me somehow clear up this inner mess, I'd be really glad to read it. Maybe this way I'll be able to clear or reset some of the outer mess I've made before too.
