I live in a city of about 500k on the west coast USA. I went to a speed dating event with a friend who had recently gone for the first time. the turnout was good about 50 people, and the ratio was actually fairly even, completely different from what I've seen online. We did 10 different rotations even though there were way more than 20 people there so I did not get to talk with every girl (unfortunate because the hottest girl was one of the ones I didn't get paired up with.) Some of the woman were unattractive, some were not even locals, but some were really engaging in conversation and i did talk to a few attractive ones. I went into it not taking it seriously and just casually talking to everyone, giving them a fair shake. I swiped right on 4 and matched 3 so i think i did ok. I was impressed with the overall quality of the women and pleasantly surprised that the male competition was not too great tbh. I am a decent looking guy but nothing special imo and a lot of the girls seemed interested in at least chatting. Demographics will likely be different in different cities, and states but as a Latino man in the west coast i actually had a decent amount of success at this event. I will likely go to another one at some point, but for now im trying to setup dates with all three girls that i matched.
