Have you got something above average that you can seduce women with? Don't settle for average level, women definitely don't. Keep improving your masculine traits and learn new things about seduction game. You need to feel worthy of women's interest. I get comments such as “you’re not my type” “I’m a lesbian” “I’m with my friends”.

FWIW I'm tall attractive guy and I get those last two the vast majority of the time as well. The reality is that most girls don't go to the club to meet guys and the ones who do have a ton of options because the ratio of men to women is heavily skewed once you account for who is actually there to interact with the opposite sex.

Frankly I very rarely see averaging looking guys have any luck because any woman who puts effort into her appearance (aka wears makeup and isn't obese) will simply wait until a guy in the top 20% approaches her after being rejected by all the women in his league.

There are a couple of things you could be doing wrong.

Only approaching the club. The club is a terrible place to meet girls for us average looking people. It's loud, overpriced, and incredibly physical. If you are average, you almost automatically lose. On top of that, women go there with their friends, so even if a woman likes you, you might have to fight with her friends. I've had more success chatting up people in places where they are alone (bookstores/libraries/bars/comedy shows). The only way I have ever won at the club is by being a great dancer (a lot of people do not dance well, so actually dancing makes it more attractive to girls who want to have fun)
Are your friends more attractive than you are? Do you only go out with your friends and never alone? Sometimes, when you move with attractive groups, girls never will notice you. I had this issue a lot when I used to go out with my friends. Going out alone helped me not only get more chances but also allowed me to be myself. I didn't have a group of guys pushing me to leave a bar or getting in my way mid conversation. It also allowed me to not have to compete with my friends or support them while they got girls.
Assuming you have good game and that your brother's game is shit. Your brother has girls. You do not. His game has to work if he is beating you like this. Oftentimes, a lot of men insult the methods that work with women. Like guys saying that a guy talking to a woman is being cheesy when he got the number and you are watching from a corner. Learn what you can from people with good game.
Overestimating your attractiveness. This is common. I've seen obese men say they are average. I've seen men with acne scars that go super deep say they are average. I used to be like this. I had terrible acne and was 20 pounds overweight and claimed I was average. The reality is you might not be as attractive as you think you are and should work to fix that. My face looks better now that I got a skin care routine and built some muscle. Paired with decent fashion sense, and I am doing a lot better than I was before.

Look elsewhere besides clubs.
Clubs can be one of three things for women: a place they go to meet others and hook up, a place they go with their friends to just have a girl's night without interest in men, a place they go to meet others and NOT hook up, but feel desirable. That means 2/3 won't be into you, at least. And in any of those 3, it'll be too loud.
Talk to women in line at the grocery store, on the bus, at a more quiet bar where they can actually hear you talk without screaming. So much of attraction for women isn't just looks. It's the game you speak with your words.

I completely agree that the idea of going alone is better than going with friends. It's just too distracting. It's hard to truly be yourself when you're constantly surrounded by friends and family.
