Ok, so one of my friend had a party, I didn't know any of her other friends, went and had an awesome time, I wouldn't say I was the center of the attention but it was good, I connected with pretty much everyone (I did better with the dudes, I guess they were easier to talk to). Didn't really isolate the target, and I am going to say I didn't really do a great job building attraction/rapport because I didn't get a chance to talk to her all that much during the night, but I would notice her standing close to me or looking at me while I was having a kick ass time with other people. So, end of the night rolls around, I grow some balls and goes "you are cute, I want your number", she was like ya sure you can have my number, but then she kinda hesitates and goes "well..." "ummm..." and I was like "whats up?" She goes "I have a boyfriend", I plow through and goes, "I think you are a cool chick, so I don't care", and she was like "ok if you don't care", and then gives me the number.

So what says you Seddit? Does she have a boyfriend? Or was it just a deflection? I can't tell cuz she was like ya sure, then goes on to hesitate after I like hand her my phone. Also, she was giving me looks all night, was it just her reacting to my looks or what? What should I have done better? I don't think I kinoed enough at all, but how do you guys show initial interest in a situation like this? And what should I do with the number? Forget about it or go for it? to be honest I would actually enjoy being friends with this girl because she is really cool, and I'm not the kind of guy to destroy other people's relationships.
