Usually, when I approach girls, I mostly rely on a cold read opener about her style or vibe.

Examples:

  • if she has tattoos and dressed in all black, I'd say, "Hey you intrigued me, you seem like you have an artistic energy and are in a goth band."

  • if she is wearing traditional jewelry and dressed more conventional, I'd cold read that she seems like a small-town girls stuck in a big city.

With basic beckies ("fit girls in lululemon yoga pants with a fanny bag, drinking Starbucks - often in groups"), what could be potential openers? I am usually stumped because there is not much about their style or vibe to latch on to. I'm into fitness so I usually ask them about their shoes and if they recommend them for running and move on an ask whether she is into running or weightlifting. However, I think it's a weak opener and I am usually out of other ideas.
