In advance: This is a lot of text and it isn't anything more than a personal story I wanted to share with the community.

Dear Seddit,

I am a 20 year old male, 5' 3'' in University that has suffered from approach anxiety for the longest time. A lot of the anxiety came from my appearance in height and weight. I couldn't go near a girl without being overwhelmed by it. If I did go near one I would become almost paralyzed with anxiety and self-doubt.

The other day I sat down in a class and turned to a girl to ask her a few questions and we got to talking. I realized right there and then that since I hadn't thought about it I had no approach anxiety and was able to be very smooth and actually use the material I had been learning. Then later on in another situation where I normally would've been paralyzed I was able to fight right through it and chat up another girl. Finally, I ran into this girl in part of joining a club and I chatter her up and knew that the question wasn't "Do I have the balls to ask for her number" but "How am I going to ask for it". (Sadly she was seeing someone else and I didn't get her number. I know the seduction community has its ways but at this point in time I'm still a beginner and getting the basics down). Despite not getting the number I was happier than I've ever been and more confident too just because I talked to them and asked for the number!!!!

My reason for bringing this up is because not only did I want to share a success story with a community that has helped me so much but to instill hope in others that it can be done and that you should. Really the only thing in this whole novel of text that I'm going to support is that FOLLOW THE 3 SECOND RULE. The quicker you do it without even thinking about it the better the interaction and you'll have no nervous problems. Even if you don't get numbers you'll be extremely happy you did it and it will carry over to other conversations which you could get numbers.

TLDR (or whatever the term is): I had an extreme case of approach (and social) anxiety which I accidentally got over and haven't looked back since.
