i have started wearing a tie. shirt and tie. last saturday i was the only one in the club with one and people couldn't stop staring. the tie also makes the ladies want to grab it.

If it makes you happy, do it. As long as you're congruent/comfortable in it, people will respond positively to you. And keep in mind everything is supposed to be light and fun.

The point of peacocking is to not blend in. When you meet a girl, you don't want to look just like the other hundred guys she saw that night. I find it's most effective when it's just wild enough to get noticed but subtle enough to avoid coming across as try-hard. I had a custom t-shirt made up that has a joke about the venue I go to a lot. It gets a lot of attention and compliments.

Like really bright colours, t-shirt where everyone has a suit, suit where everyone has a t-shirt something like this.

I love to suit up because it reflects my personality and confidence this is a major importance when dressing, when you wear something you dont feel right wearing or its the wrong size it can just look wrong.

In my town its really pathetic the fashion of males, i once got slack for wearing a shirt and trousers saying "girls don't like that", i simply looked at the guy in old tshirt and jeans with run down sneakers and simply said, whatever works for you mate.

Pretty much i cant always wear a suit out, i can only really feel it when a group of people do or if i have had an event and we just happen to go out.

One thing that does work as mentioned above is a shirt colour that suits you and a tie. this does wonders and really does show you are someone different.

If the tie isnt for you i would suggest a suit jacket, open shirt and jeans with casual brown leather shoes. this really does tone down the formal but still allows you to dress to impress.

There are many ways to still be formal and professional without looking overdressed, weather its with colours or mixing fabric.

Good luck, also look at other examples. like anything you learn do research and try it out.

The word/idea of peacocking has developed a bad connotation largely because it is misunderstood. Do i peacock? Yes. Do i wear furry hats, and demonic jewelry? No. Peacocking can be something as simple being the best dressed in a bar/party/etc. Being the best dressed doesn't mean you have to have expensive clothing, just a cool style that stands out. I just peacock cause it's fun for me. Hot pink shades during the day, yellow morph suit during uni sporting events(have done major junior hockey games too). Team outfits for (beer pong) tournaments
