She's only out of your league because you think she is. Clearly she doesn't think that if she's willing to go with you. Don't try and act cool, be cool. Just go there with the intent of having a good time and making sure she has a good time. In addition to that, it's just prom, it's not a big deal like people make it out to be.

So remember: relax, have fun, make sure shes having fun, and keep it light and comfortable and she'll naturally feel comfortable

Girls love the cheese stuff! Open doors, buy her a flower, take the pictures, make sure you dip her while dancing and twirl her like a princess, and the best time to tell her how beautiful she is is when your dancing.

I spent my senior prom having a good time with my date in a party bus full of dudes who were too awkward to talk to their dates. Please don't be those people.

Talk to your date and don't try too hard to act cool. Be yourself (unless yourself is super awkward). The fact that you're going to be all dressed up very nicely and have a date who's "out of your league" (though it's not good to think of anyone to be out of your league) should be a confidence booster. Stand up straight and use that confidence.

Be confident. Stand up straight and don't slouch. In addition to the above advice about the cheesey stuff, it's ok to act like a jerk (teasing and so forth) but don't be dick. I hope that makes sense.

She said YES to you didn't, she? Was she blackmailed? Did someone have a damn gun to her head? No? Then shut up about leagues. If there are leagues, then you're clearly in her league or you wouldn't be going to prom with her.

Now stop over-thinking this or you're going to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Whatever you were doing before when she said yes, just keep doing that. (I assume you've actually held conversations with her before you asked her to prom?)

Top three rules for this off the top of my head:

Be fun, don't have an agenda. Girls are there to have fun, don't be an energy leech hoping to steal energy from her.
Social proof. If you know a guy who you know will even slightly warmly receive attention from you, shake his hand, say it's nice to see him/compliment him, and tell that guy's date that she's lucky to be going with him. It'll make you seem like a Class-A Mr.Popularity
Lead. Don't wait for her to go on the floor to dance. Take her hand and bring her there. Want to grind with her? Don't go straight in, but start leading bit by bit.
