The general challenge with an AMOG is then trying to devalue you or game the girl at the same time. However I ran into a situation that I realized I didn't know how to handle. It could actually be entirely unintentional but was extremely effective.

Basically a guy who was already friends with the girl instead of trying to distract her or devalue me just took such a heavy interest in me that it was impossible for me to engage the girl because of how shy she was. Basically I spent the entire time talking to her and when I was able to get her to talk a little bit he would start talking to me again and she'd shut up.

Since he's already friends with her he's not trying to attract her in any way.

How do you handle this? Is it similar to how you would if it were a girl doing the same?

Usually I'd just isolate, but this was a rare situation in which I didn't see any way to do so.

So, advice?
