So, as I was walking back home from my last exam (3 in 30 hours...) of the semester I saw someone walk out with me and I said "Thank god I never have to take that class again." She replied "I know me too" and before I knew it I was chatting with someone from my class that I hadn't met before. We had about a fifteen minute conversation walking back home and I learned all about her future plans for work and talked a little about my passions and plans as well.

I had a revelation about that conversation as soon as it was over. Leaving or going into exams are the easiest time to talk to anyone, especially hot chicks.

Nobody has any "shields" up before the exam as everybody is too focused on the upcoming test so if you lead with a question about the material you have a perfect entrance into a conversation.

After the exam everybody is so excited to be done with it that again "shields" are completely off. They're done and they can finally relax again for at least a little bit.

Some people want to go over the test in excruciating detail, some just want to rejoice that its over, but everybody just spent 2 hours in dead silence stressing their brains and they just want to talk. So make a passing mention about the exam that just happened and let them take the conversation where they may.

While I have very little AA in general I had exactly none when approaching this girl to talk to her. Just time your exit with someone and start chatting.
