I go to a lot of EDM shows too. Number one thing is to have energy and be enjoying the music. Girls know when you're trying leech energy off of them. Then I approach like any other situation really. Nice, friendly, easy, and spin them around and you're in. Don't forget to judge their emotional state and be congruent. Just because they're there doesn't mean they're happy.

The number one rule I stick to at raves/shows is to have fun with myself. When I'm rolling and feelings good/social I wander the crowd, often by myself, looking for fun people. I initiate dance circles with people who look energetic, and eventually approach girls when I learn to be indifferent of the outcome (because I'm having such a good time they should feel privileged to be part of my fun). Girls at raves/shows are very aware that guys are looking to make moves on them, and are often more interested in melting their face off and looking at the lights, so you want to avoid approaching straight on, and obviously from behind. This is why making lots of friends in the crowd is the best. Not only are you acquiring social proof throughout the night ("hey it's the fun guy!"), but you are also giving yourself a way to show subtle disinterest when your advances are rejected. For example, you are dancing with a big group of people. You make eye contact with a cute girl. You smile. She turns her head. You keep dancing not giving a fuck about her. If you keep up this mentality, girls will come to you.
