Back when I was in university, I used to talk to girls, A LOT, and by law of probability I got girls, a lot. However something that took me a little while to learn and I think a lot of guys haven't figured out is that game is extremely contextual and if you fail to analyse that appropriately you will scare off girls that were otherwise attracted to you. For example, you can't use bar/club game at 3pm in Starbucks.

Example: "hey, excuse me, I just wanted to say that you're so pretty I have to know your name."

Where this could work: A coffee shop or supermarket.

Where this would not work: shouting into a girl's ear over the music at a club.

Example 2: points at her and makes heart sign (risky cause she needs to find you attractive at first glance)

Where this works: the club

Where this doesn't work: Costco

Now, both of these examples are things that have worked for me in real life. However if you switch those around you'll find that both of them are weird and kinda creepy. So essentially the point of this post is to say before you approach a woman rather than asking, "is what I'm about to say good" ask, is what I'm about to say appropriate for the situation"
