I have many success stories, they were all different to some extent.

However I’d prefer to talk what NEVER worked:

being afraid to let them know my interest/intentions
being afraid of getting rejected for something I do or say (eg: making a move)
not being direct or taking action as soon as possible (eg: asking her out to go for a coffee/drink date)

I’m in my 40s, but when I was 13-14yo I had to learn these lessons the hard way with practice and failures. No books or internet to ask for advice.

Avoid those mistakes and you’ll avoid to finish last, being automatically rejected or someone else stealing your crush, or being friendzoned.

Women love comfort and confidence, you’ll be surprised by how many girls/women have been flattered by guys/men which were able to be straight to the point in a confident way. That doesn’t mean you should go for “wanna fuck?” (well, not at the beginning), but something like “I want to see you, when can we meet?” is much more flattering than being her text buddy.

It's crazy how you didn't get a single freaking field report in these comments. This sub hasn't had many of those lately.

Here's the most successful approach I had. In college I ran game a lot, but my inner game was shit so I fucked up a lot of great chances and didn't get anywhere with number closes or even first dates. However, one time I got somewhere:

I was waiting to meet up with my ex girlfriend at the time (we had broken up but had a bit of an unhealthy emotionally confusing FWB situation going on). She wasnt texting me back, so I decided to do some approaches. Saw a cute girl sitting and sat near he and complimented her shirt. We had a convo and I got her number. She said she had a boyfriend though, but I plowed through, because I find that's often just an exaggeration or straight up lie.

I texted her a few days later and made plans to meet up. We just sat and talked for a bit and took a walk. Her and her boyfriend had broken up in the time between me meeting her and meeting up. I did a lot of kino (again awkwardly, because I lacked confidence back then). The date ended.

A few days later she texted me basically asking what my intentions were, since I had been so touchy, but she wasn't sure what I was looking for. We talked some and were both down for something casual. I took her on a proper date for food. Went to another venue where I held her hand. Kissed and made out after that. I ended up fooling around with her but not going all the way... I was in a weird mental spot where my ex was still fucking up my decision making, and I blocked myself from getting with a girl who was very much into me.

Lessons: (1) make your intentions clears... A girl should never be wondering if you're into her after an initial interaction, (2) when you and a girl break up, kick her out your life entirely... don't let her effect your decisions with other girls, (3) take her number down even if she has a boyfriend, you never know when they'll break up.

'seduce' isn't really a thing, i'm afraid. (Like, real life isn't like the old movies where the 60 year old grotesque man 'seduces' the hot teenage maiden who is initially repulsed by him with his poetry etc lol)

It's just a numbers game until you find a girl who is attracted to you, at which point you just need to not be so socially 'off' that she decides to go with a different guy who she considers hot instead!

However, i'll chip in. Makes sense to go with my first ever cold approach lay, which very luckily for me, happened to be one of my first ever cold approaches!

I'd just finished reading 'magic bullets'. Decided to try my luck at cold approach.

Went too a bar with some friends. Saw 2 girls sitting down. Both about 18. (I was about 26 I think? I'd previously only slept with girls from social circle etc)

I walked over to them and sat down. They look at me like 'Errrr..whoa re you?!'' but don't say anything. Just look at each other.

I used a variation of one of the openers from the book and open the one I preferred and say 'Hiya! Sorry i'm late! Traffic was really bad. I didn't know you were gonna bring a friend!!'' (as If I was on a blind date)

My goal was to get a laugh, but I think i'm too good of an actor! haha. They thought I was being genuine and I had to let them know I was just fukking around and that I thought they looked cute and I wanted to say 'hi' at which point I got my intend laugh!. They thought it was really funny (although the same opener has also BOMBED btw lol)

I asked their names, what they were up too, where they were from. The same stuff every other guy asks. Just normal convo. (pro tip: that's all you need. Forget 'cold reads' and 'assumptions' etc. It isn't any more 'powerful' and worst case, can make you look a little odd which is the last thing you want.)

She was asking me stuff back. (possible IOI)

I started touching her playfully and just ramping the vibe up a little.

About 40 mins went past, and one of the girl (the friend of the one I wanted) told her friend that she was gonna go and was like ''Are you staying here with him?''. The girl replied 'yes'.

We chatted a little longer. I took her to the bar and bought us a massive, very very strong cocktail! We got pretty drunk.

I then asked her home (my parents house as the time)

We went back and I closed. She was a trainee midwife. We texted briefly but never saw her again

I remember thinking 'This is easy!!''.

This pull, was followed by, i'd approximate 100 rejections until I got laid again.

I've since laid lots of girls from cold approach. Read everything that exists, tested it, went mad for a while trying to 'seduce' girls who weren't attracted to me using various techniques in books etc.

Although, i've learnt that it's honestly just a numbers game. People give themselves way too much credit in my opinion.

I don't even think about it anymore, it just happens.

I just talk to people, and you usually connect or you don't. I don't, any longer, consciously think I'm trying to "game" this person.

I legitimately like to get to know people, so I ask a lot of open ended questions that open conversation strings that I will play off of. Sometimes people aren't receptive, which is ok, and sometimes they are.

Just remember, when you keep it light and fun and your true intention is to get to know someone...women can see that. They like that you want to get to know them, and women love to talk about themselves.

It really is like the saying in shrek, people are like onions. They have layers to them, and the more intimate layers you get to...the deeper the connection you will have to them especially when you are able to be vulnerable and share deep things about yourself to them. They trust you more. From there, as long as you are not a psychopath it's pretty easy.
