I’m having trouble. I had a thing with this girl for a couple of months. We met in college and reconnected last summer. We hungout a few times and connected to the point that we texted every day and hungout alot. Unfortunately, she is moving to a different city within the next half year, and by the end of our thing, she made it clear she did not want to rush into a relationship that she felt would end once she moves. I wanted more than it to be casual, which ultimately lead to it ending. Last thing she sent was a big text two weeks ago saying something around the words of “I dont think this is gonna workout we are on two seperate pages I dont want to rush into something I know is going to end and I think it would be easier if we dont push it.” I responded saying “I appreciate your honesty, no hard feelings. Take care.” This conversation was sent two weeks ago and we have not made contact since.

The more I reflect on it, I wish I did not come off as needy / wanting a relationship and just enjoyed the time she was still in town and made the best of it. Who knows, maybe we would have ended up staying in touch when she moved and at the very least caught up with each other once a month. I’m not a fan of double texting and that stuff, especially because I know I have came off as extremely needy in past relationships and I understand how unattractive that can be. I just really don’t know what to do. I haven’t gone a day the past two weeks that I have not thought about her…alot…throughout each day. I know I caught feelings for her pretty fast and I do believe it was mutual just by the way she told me things, the stuff we did when we were in public, etc. At the same time, I wonder if I met someone new tomorrow if I would even think about this girl anymore or move on in a healthier way. What should I do? As of now, unless she does before, I think it’s best to not reach out for a month at the very least and maybe just say something like “I hope you’re doing well and I’d like to catch up before you move” or something. Or maybe it’s best to completely move on. I don’t know. This sucks.
