When I'm not working one of my favorite hobbies is photography. For the longest time this was a hobby I practiced without any sort of quality peer input. However one day I befriended a photographer who was far more advanced than me. Said photographer eventually began to introduce me to other photographers who were even more advanced than him. After months of hanging out with these guys guess what happened? The quality of my photography improved exponentially. How so? In addition to my own inner drive for self improvement, being around others who were already successful rubbed off on me. Every day I would see the great work of the other guys and would want to do better. Whenever I reached a road block, these guys were always willing to lend a piece of friendly advice.

I got better. I got good.

They say we are the sum of the 5 people we associate with most.

A few weeks ago I was catching up with an old friend from before I learned to become successful at dating. Sure enough his life is doing great (new career, travel, fun hobbies, etc) except one thing remained the same. HE IS STILL CHRONICALLY SINGLE

My point is this. You can read all the books in the world on how to improve your love life, but if don't surround yourself with people that help you achieve your goals, the likelihood of going the distance is slim. If you wanna lose weight and get fit, surround yourself with people who eat healthy and live physically active lifestyles. If you wanna learn how to keep a long term GF befriend other men that have success in that area. (This principal applies to many areas of life business, hobbies, school, etc)

During my winter of singleness, I was mostly surrounded by dateless "nice-guys" who would constantly reinforce the shitty dating behaviors we mirrored into each other. Now I have friends who either get girls or have GF's.

This is a hard pill for most to swallow, but life is hard. If you want something go for it.
