I just want to share something I've been doing that's a fun way to motivate yourself and see how you're progressing.

A couple of months ago, my shampoo ran out, so I got myself a new bottle, nothing special, just your average nice-smelling shampoo.

A few weeks later I was out with this girl I have been hitting on for a while. We had dinner with a mutual friend (she was the one who actually introduced us to each other) then walked around a bit. We then went into a Boots store and the girls, of course, started looking at some beauty products. I looked around myself and saw this bottle of Mint shampoo and thought it looked interesting so I bought it on a whim, even though I just bought the other average shampoo bottle a few days ago.

So I was back home with two bottles of shampoo in my shower. That was when I decided to come up with a game for myself: On days that I feel like I've put myself out there, took risks, done something my AFC/SAP self wouldn't do, and made progress on that girl I was shopping with, I would use the Mint shampoo. On days that I didn't do much or was just my old Beta self, I would use the normal shampoo. The challenge was to try to finish my Mint shampoo first.

A few weeks after I hooked up with the girl, so my Mint shampoo took a huge lead over the next few weeks. But sadly, she left soon after (she was an exchange student) and after she left the normal shampoo closed in. It was a tight finish but the Mint shampoo won by just a couple of days in the end :)

Just something fun to play on your own and get you to reflect on yourself. Admittedly my normal shampoo bottle was bigger than my Mint shampoo bottle, but you can adjust this to make an easy/hard mode accordingly. Maybe you guys have some of these kind of personal games you play too, would be great to hear about them!
