Growing up as a young adolescent male and having many failed experiences with the opposite sex ie. rejection, heartbreak and being put into the ever foresaken friend-zone, i had two ideologys about attraction and the opposite sex.

As a young man today. I realise that they aren’t completely accurate statements.

Let me Explain.

Nice Guys Finish Last.

I think the statement should really be “Needy, Low Self-Esteem, Neurotic Guys Finish Last”. Because that’s what its really talking about. Every girl wants a nice guy! What girl says they DON’T want a nice guy? It’s the fact that most of the guys that would put themselves in the “nice guy” category don’t demand much respect, if any. They don’t have any value. Sure you buy flowers, dinner, chocolate, you listen to her problems, you help her out whenever she needs a hand, if she wants to go somewhere you take her etc etc. What you’re showing is that you have no balls. You do all these things and have all these expectations that will never be met. Its needy and desperate. Yes be a gentleman but don’t supplicate. She’s never gonna be with you just cos you do a bunch of stuff for her. All you are to her is a lap dog. She asks. You do. She gives you a pat on the head and then tells you to go so she can go play ‘fetch’ with the doberman down the street.

Girls Like Jerks.

No girl wants a jerk. It’s just that simple. But the reason why they seem to come ahead of the nice guy is because they have a lot more going for them. A nice guy will ask “Tell me what he has that i dont?”. Well he’s confident, self validated and decisive. Three things you don’t have and that EVERY girl wants. They’re characteristics of a man. He may be a jerk, but he’s able to demand respect and do what he wants without giving a shit about what anyone thinks.
