The same sort of advice also comes from women. It's normal, when people didn't experienced the struggle, nor have the emotional intelligence to empathize with others.

I've since ignored those type of comments whenever I struggle with something, and look for people who can give me genuine advice.

Yes it can be extremely aggravating. I get it. “Just be nice” or “just have fun” are also common. It’s just mainstream thought process or people that are massively out of touch with reality giving bad advice. Government likes to do this too.

This is a common problem not limited to seduction:

John: 'I have problem x(=complicated, personal, feelings, thoughts, identity, past experiences...).'
this person is often looking for empathy, understanding, validation.
James: 'Just do y(=simple), easy'
this person might not know how to empathise or might not want to, saying something simple actually fixes their problem of having to deal with John's annoying ass.

If John's really unlucky he might even start trying to follow James' advice, James' seems competent after all and he John might not really belive in himself or in the value of his own opinion. Following James' advice brings him further from himself (the place where the answer must be found) and so even further from his goal.

This strikes me as a bit of a strawman. So let's talk truth.

The truth is that picking up girls is not hard provided you have the three fundamentals down. I've personally experienced what this is like from both sides.

When you have the three fundamentals down, results is just a matter of putting in the reps. And the better a job you do of that, the fewer reps you need.

When you have issues with one of them, you feel like you're spinning your wheels or every situation you find seems to go bad on you.

As a refresher, those three fundamentals are:

Lifestyle - are you living the life you want to live? Are you on your purpose? Do you have the basics down like not being broke and basic hygiene?
Take Action - are you approaching? Are you polarizing to attract? Are you asking girls out? Are you building sexual tension? Are you making moves when the opportunity presents itself? Are you sabotaging yourself with cynical beliefs about yourself and/or women? Remember Boomhauer's First Lesson.
Communication Skills - Do you know how to tease and lead? Do you know how to give effective compliments? Do you make eye contact and smile? Can you tell an interesting story? Do you know how to avoid oversharing? Do you have at least a basic understanding of outer game?

Everything beyond those three fundamentals is fine-tuning and optimizing.

Now if you think you have a problem with one of those three, here's how you can know:

If you have issues with your lifestyle, you'll have a hard time finding receptive women, especially ones you're interested in. If your lifestyle is fine, then you'll find that women you find attractive will at least give you a chance.
If you have issues with taking action, it will show up in the sheer quantity of women you make something happen with. If you're going through a dry spell and you don't like it - take action!
If you have issues closing the deal or having a low batting average, you're likely sabotaging yourself with some issue with your game. Common examples include - showing too much thirst/telegraphing neediness, failing to polarize (the dreaded no-spark), overgaming and undergaming, or weak flirting game.

TL:DR: Don't complain that some guys have their game locked down and as a result think the game is easy. They're knobs who don't appreciate what they have and as a result will either lose it in time, or are miserable for other reasons. Focus on yourself and git gud.

It's not wrong. "You cannot solve a problem in the paradigm in which it was created", you have to access a completely different headspace where those simple things will resonate.

I'm a incredibly technical, logical, theory and dynamic driven person and I often try to break down 'self-esteem' in that way; however, in essence, it's a thesis on 'letting go' and 'having fun'. However much you need to not judge, compare, waste effort and energy in 'ego' - to actually express something worthy of attention.

For a lot of us, myself included, it took a lot. It takes knowledge and understanding of 'frame control' and all of these other concepts to give yourself the permission to not think twice about yourself or what you're doing - to act with some degree of certainty and gumption (self-esteem and status).

On the surface, you're just saying and doing things; it's simple; to not do that with self-doubt, in a fun, charmismatic manner, it does take some mental engineering but that doesn't take away from how simple the end result is. Having fun isn't difficult, it can't be.
