TL;DR: I treat all girls like friends and I want to learn how to have a less platonic vibe when I'm with a girl.

This applies to my current situation: I'm meeting up with a friend I haven't seen since June, but we've texted maybe 2-3 times. She suggested we catch up over winter break. The plan is to pick her up from her house, go out for lunch at a place I suggested, and maybe hang out in the mall. We're both 18 and freshmen in college (went to high school together).

I want to get better at being less platonic with a girl, and part of that journey for me has involved losing some weight and changing my style for the better, making me slightly more confident too. But I still treat all girls like friends, which I want to work on. So I'm looking for tips on stuff I should do to help take things in a slightly different direction.

Some other stuff:

  • I'm going to keep things casual with her if this goes somwhere since we go to different colleges
  • She's very enthusiastic about seeing me after a while and really wants to talk to me
  • I don't want to do anything way too risky/off-character right now, nor am I trying to get laid right at this moment
