Female attraction is based on emotions in its simplest form. The way you look, how much money you have are logical reasons that latter could be used to either rationalize her liking you or disliking you. Logic is the enemy, that's why it should never be used in seduction.
What also attracts woman is a guy who's fun and challenging. Fun because your giving them the good emotions. Challenging because she has to earn your attraction. Two things woman love.
Third and lastly being high status. High status men can give the greatest amount of value and resources, at least she assumes you can provide. You don't have to be rich or famous to be considered high status. Have you ever walked away from a conversation with a guy and thought "wow that guy probably has a lot of money". It's because he his had high status sub communications Down.
Edit: almost forgot another pretty big attraction trigger. Social proof is huge. Also know as preselection. A woman will judge how attractive you are based on how other woman are responding to you.
Those are the three main triggers for female attraction. Of course there a ton more. Those are just the heavy hitters.

Very true but I wouldn't say logic is the enemy. If you can layer a girl logically wanting to do something I top of emotionally wanting to do something she will be less flaky and less difficult.
I'm not suggesting to sell your self logically

I think when girls are ones own age and, in a sense, your equal: it is definitely possible to 'reason a girl into bed'. The idea that good sex with those you find attractive is a reasonable pursuit and those who don't want it are a bit mental also creates an authentic confidence.
In the end, people fuck when they have a reason to fuck, and you can allay their reasons not to fuck (many of which are based on bad past experiences) whilst making the reasons to fuck (you) salient (albeit in a tactful manner).
I had a pretty steady stream on the go whilst travelling and using this mentality.

It boggles my mind to why and how women choose their partners.
That's because you're trying to use logic to figure out something that has strongly illogical elements to it.
A pretty big thing on the list of reasons, hasn't been posted yet: emotional baggage. Daddy or mommy issues. Past trauma. All these things contribute heavily to how and why people choose who they do.
People repeat their own emotional history, MOST of the time in their dating life. People feel most comfortable in a situation that reminds them of the past in some emotional way, because they have some issue they're trying to work through.
That scrub the girl is dating, probably reminds her of her father or allows her to replay some unhealthy pattern from her past.
This is why so many people end up being attracted to people who share some commonality. Like guys who always go after unattainable girls. Or people who keep dating cheaters. Or people who keep dating abusive people.

Could you explain the relation between "guys who always go for unattainable girls" and people repeating their own emotional history ?
Yep. Though I need to correct myself. I meant "(emotionally) unavailable girls."
Anyway, such guys who go after those girls, are simply one subset of those repeating their history.
Are you saying to not repeatedly go after girls who are clearly disinterested ? or girls just out of your league ?
Neither one.
If people have a pattern of people they usually go for in dating, trying to exert direct control over it, is not the point.
People repeat their histories until they have processed some life lesson, then they move on to a different pattern.

Attraction is based on offering the opposite sex genetic value. What is genetic value? Masculinity and femininity. This means that the more masucline a male is, the more he'll appeal to feminine women and vice versa.
The reason why this is the case is all based on instinct. Put yourself five thousands years back in time. In the wild, a feminine (more vulnerable) female would need the protection and devotion from a masculine (less vulnerable) male in order to get pregant, give childbirth, and raise the offspring. This is why women are instinctively hardwired to be attracted to masculine males with qualities such as confidence, charm, and responsibility.
At the other hand, we males wouldn't need protection or devotion from a female that much. All that we needed for reproduction would be a healthy, young enough female being able to grow our babies inside of her, yet still old enough to take care of the offspring after childbirth.
This is exactly why men are attracted to sexually mature youthful girls, but why females instead look for more intangible, masculine qualities such as confidence and charm. Therefore, this explains why gorgeous models can be with males who are far from beautiful, popular, or successful.
You see, you can consider the word "attractive" to be a synonym for either masculine or feminine; that is, whether it is a male or female we're speaking of.
Hope this helped.

But can a guy still have low status, and/or no social circle, and be attractive?
[–]Big_TX 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
No social circle ? Absolutely.
If it is apparent they have a bad Statius I don't think so. I don't think that if a girl knew a guy was an austrisived weirdo that he could get girls.
You status does not have to be known, like a guy could meet a girl at a buss stop and get her. She does not see his life or his status but through his behavior he can get her.
Also a guy with losers who have low real status but have high value behaviors can get girls.
There is more to game than value/attraction. emotional connections play a role. Managing logistics plays a HUGE role. And their is the hole validation vacuums, and building investment side of game which is a week area for me

Sure but it's alot a harder. The key to seduction is all social, if you're not social how can you interact with a girl? Every seduction is about social interaction, if you have low social status that's irrelevant, what's important is social intelligence. it means you're not afraid, you're not insecure, you're not too ashamed to put yourself out there. ie. Confidence, the #1 aphrodisiac for all women
[–]Aeon199 -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Can confidence blow past things like shitty job or no job, or still living at home past the acceptable time, or low social status?
[–]Murfdigidy 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Yes but it's hard, you see confidence is all in your mind. Being in shape may help confidence, but it may not. Being rich may help confidence, may not. Good looks may help confidence, may not. It depends on the person. We gain confidence thru experiences we go through in life. Only you can grow confidence. Confidence is gained by doing things that make you grow as a person. It's part just not caring what other people think of you and also putting yourself out there and taking challenges in life. Being comfortable being uncomfortable. You see talking to a cute girl can take guts, you get better ONLY by doing what scares you. More you do it the less you're scared and the more you come off as confident and sure of yourself. Girls love that, girls love guys who don't care what others think of them, because it projects you're very secure, sure of yourself.

I know I need to approach, but given my AS and inexperience, as well as merely average looks.. I have reasonable cause for concern that some women would find my uncalibrated approaches creepy.

Start small,go from there, start conversations with complete strangers in supermarkets or do small talk while waiting in line. All talking to girls is creating conversation, nothing more. But if you don't know how to do small talk then start with anyone you don't know. Talk to guys, older people, anyone around you that you're in a store with. Most people are uncomfortable even doing that, so start there. Or if you're really shy, start just smiling and saying hi to girls. Again confidence takes times, but it goes no where until you start making steps in the right direction... Don't expect to reach the top of a mountain without taking the first step

It boggles my mind to why and how women choose their partners. For example in many cases, ive seen women dating men who looks shabby, poorly dressed, have no drive or ambition. Can someone explain to me how this works?
women are fucking people and people like different things.
Contrary to what the PUA community has taught you, women aren't robots that can be fed a series of inputs and automatically fuck you. People are different.
Also people go through a whole host of issues, which makes them choose certain partners and not other ones. Too deep to go into here.

But given a woman in her prime, wouldnt she choose an alpha over a beta? Maybe attraction couldnt be explain over a logical kind of view. But its something to put my thoughts into.
[–]sand-which 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Tip that's helped me: don't label yourself or other people. Label as having alpha tendencies or beta tendencies. Makes moving from one group to the other as a person a lot easier because all you have to do is start showing different tendencies
[–]ghostreconx 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Im not labelling myself, as i dont know where i stand. But reading some threads in r/theredpill made me think of that
[–]pacg 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Quite the variety of answers here. I like seeing shabby guys with women. It means there's someone for everyone practically and if you can't get someone, then take that as a spur to self-reflection and improvement.
For what it's worth, before I got any game, I had girlfriends. Seems many of us did. Problem was feeling like I couldn't upgrade or replace them as easily. Game gave me techniques, confidence, and understanding. Put simply, it gave me options.

For example in many cases, ive seen women dating men who looks shabby, poorly dressed, have no drive or ambition.
This can be accounted for by variations in individual females' value judgements. In every interaction, the participants necessarily demonstrate some sort of value through their behavior. In pick-up, this is called "giving value." The reason why women date men who might not look valuable, is because these men behave as if they have value. Another way to consider this is that these men are giving value to women's lives simply by providing a good time or "positive vibes".
She values his company--or he makes her feel strong emotions, because women tend to base their value judgments on feelings over logic--and therefore makes herself available to him as a potential mate.
Exactly. And in addition they could be in relationships. It's not like if you go out dressed pourly one day your GF will dump you.
[–]rib-bit 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
you're assuming what you value is what others value...
Maybe that is true, because everyone pursues different things in life. But i guess that i should mix logic with emotions :)
