Friday:

I went to a bar alone on Friday. I drove there and I went inside. It was kind of an outdoor bar/terrace. I went in and then I choked. I started to feel super anxious, so I left and took a 30 minutes walk. Then I decided to grow some balls and I went back.

 

I immediately noticed this cute chick sitting all by herself. I go there and I approached her: "Hey you're alone and I am too, my name is Tom, what is yours?"

 

So we start chatting and she only speaks Spanish, she's from Colombia (Bogota), has her own marketing business and she is staying at a Hostel close by. She tells me that it's really hard for her to make friends in Miami because of her lifestyle and that she does yoga in South Beach. Immediately, she asks me if I'm hungry. That should have been the first red flag. Anyway, I told her no and the kitchen is close anyway. I ordered a few drinks and she does it, I escalate, etc. There's a lot of eye contact and I make sure to not break them to build sexual tension. I feel that it's working. Anyway, the bill comes and it's like 40$. I'm like "fuck it" and I propose to pay.

 

The bar is closing anyway and she tells me that she has to go back to her hostel, I propose to walk her there. We do and I gave her a hug. She tells me that it was "nice knowing you". I'm lusting and I ignore the fact that a woman with high interest would ask me when can she see me again. Anyway, I ask her for her phone number and she gave it to me.

 

Saturday:

  I text her around 1PM and tell her: "Hey I'm going out tonight, do you wanna come?", an hour later, she tells me "Where are you going". I response "To this wine bar". She responds: "It's close by right?", I tell her: "Yes, but I can pick you up".

 

Anyway, long story short, she accepts and I go pick her up. We laugh in the car etc. We finally arrive at the bar and it's pretty amazing. Really good place. I go and buy a bottle of wine. She straight-up tells me that she is hungry and orders some cheese, meat, and olives. Again, I'm ignoring reflags here. Anyway, we drink etc. One thing I notice is that she is not making a lot of eye contact. They are brief. Now things are getting worse, during the date this bitch Facetime her mom in Colombia. She does not even say "I'm with a friend" or includes me, then she starts taking Instagram pictures etc. My instinct is going in full ALERT, but I'm lusting after this chick and I'm ignoring it.

 

Things get even weirder, she is basically drunk and she finished the first bottle and asks me "we should get a rose". Like a dumb fuck, I ignore my gut feeling again and I want to keep vibing, so I go and get the cheapest bottle. I stop drinking because I'm going to drive. But she does. Anyway, at this point, she is pretty drunk.

 

The bill comes and she completely ignores it. Do not propose to pay half. Again, like a chump, I pay (around 100$), but my gut feeling is telling me that shit is going sideways.

 

We go to my car and I say "let's go to my place". She refuses. At this point, I'm starting to get irritated. I straight up tell her that I'm going to take her home then, but before starting the car, I give her a quick kiss on the mouth.

 

So I arrive at her hostel and I get out of the car. Give her a hug and kiss her. She does not give me the cheek but her kiss is not passionate and we are not french kissing. She finally tells me that she is going back to Colombia this week and that we should go to South Beach during the day tomorrow. I'm like "Sure".

 

I arrive home and I straight up delete her number. The next morning, I see that she is following me on Instagram and she sent me a message: "I had an amazing night". I wanted to answer "No shit, you got a free meal and a free ride, of course, you did". But, I stopped myself. I'm not going to let her see that she has control over my emotions. So I just text her a smiley winky face.

 

An hour later, she asks me if I want to go out. I told her yes why not. Her response: "Perfect, I need to be at South Beach at 5PM". I start laughing and then told her: "Good luck with your Uber, I'm not going to South Beach".

 

The end.

I'm not going to lie, I'm pissed at myself, but it's a learning opportunity. Next time, I'll make some adjustments. I also wrote myself a code of conduct:

Before the date

  • Always value your time and acts as high value individual
  • Call her
  • Is she making time for you or coming up with bullshit excuses
  • Only text one, never double text
  • Only text for logistic, never be a text buddy
  • Ask her out twice, only

During the date

  • If she does not offer to pay her half, it's a red-flag
  • Always escalate early and see her reaction
  • During the date, imply that you should go to your place to grab a glass of wine
  • Look at her eyes, is he looking at you in a sexual/passionate way
  • If she starts ordering a bunch of shits during the date, imply that she's going to have to pay a big bill
  • Try to meet close to your place, if she refuses, then next
  • There's no hope, she's ether wants to fuck or not
  • Always kiss close and see if she reciprocates in a passionate way

Overall:

  • ALWAYS trust your instinct/guts
  • Self-respect is number 1, always put yourself first
  • She's just another woman
  • State your intentions and be honest
  • Never accept to being friends when you want sex/relationship
  • There’s a new bus every 15 minutes
