Look, a Simp is basically a person who is giving more and getting less in return in terms of attention and affection.

For example, you aren’t a simp if you initiate cuddling all of the time, if your girl does the same back to you. You aren’t a simp if a you buy a girl a gift, and she gives back you a nice gift. You aren’t a simp if you give her all of your attention, if she gives all of her attention to you.

The thing is it’s only simp behaviour when it’s really an uneven exchange of value, and you still expect something back and do nothing about it. Like you give her all of your time in your day, but she doesn’t even give you one second, but you still expect some shit. Or you keep bringing your girl to fancy dinners when you aren’t getting any affection back. Basically a SIMP is a person that’s being used by a woman, willingly.

Look that’s there is all to it. If you are having a fair exchange of value in your relationship, you ain’t simping. If it’s unfair and one-sided and you let that slide, you are SIMPING HARD.

I think it's when your being nice in the hopes of getting some ass, like to nice, like not having any back bone and trying to please all the time. She'll turn around a sleep with the dide that annoys her and teases her more than the guy whoes being nice

Simping is supplicating (Google supplicating). Girls can tell when the only reason you’re being nice is when you’re expecting something in return. They literally hear the sucking vacuum sound of neediness. That’s why nice guys finish last. When you do something for a woman that comes from the heart, offers value and is outcome independent, you’re no longer simping.

Lack of interaction.

Buying your girlfriend flowers isn't simp behavior, because she's actively going out with you and buying you gifts as well.

Buying flowers for a girl who doesn't even know your name is simp behavior because you're just giving stuff away.

When you try to do things for a girl you like that you wouldn’t do for your friends or girls you don’t like.

A girl asks you to do her homework for her and you agree to it not because you enjoy it, but because you hope it will give you points to win her over. You wouldn’t do it for your male friend or a girl you are not interested in.
A girl says she has money problems, and you don’t even have much money, and generally would not give it to others, but because it’s her you give some to her with the hopes that she sees how nice you are and eventually wants to date you

Basically any gesture that you do not because you would do it with everyone else, but because you hope to get points to win her over, as in you want her to realise how much things you are willing to do for her, so she realises what a great boyfriend you would be.

This behaviours which some would consider to make you a nice guy, are nothing but manipulative tricks to try to bribe or manipulate a girl into liking you.

You are expecting love or her affection or her approval in return for your “niceness”.

But if she ever were to tell you that she is not interested in you, you would resent doing all that stuff for her, because you would feel like you have wasted energy, time and money for nothing.

“Simp” is old pimp slang. Same as a “square” or a “lame”. Follows the rules, worships the ground his woman walks on, buys her flowers, gets played etc. Someone who isn’t hip to the game.

It’s definition has definitely evolved now that it’s been picked up by gen z and internet culture.

It’s ultimately just a word with no real concrete definition. I think of it as someone who loses their spine and will bend over backwards thinking that will get them what they want in regards to dating.
