You just sound really needy and desperate throughout this whole post. You met this girl a week ago and know nothing about her. And she says she's your type flirting/jokingly and instead of flirting back and playing around you immediately ask "When are we going out?" Just makes it seem like you're thirsty and have no options. Then you're letting her lead the entire interaction. Agreeing to the exact day that works for her. Agreeing to go out on Friday after work at the last minute which makes it seem like you have no other plans or nothing else to do or no other women in your life. Then you let her control the entire texting interaction instead of taking the lead and texting her yourself. Then you're waiting around looking at your phone for hours, waiting for her text.

You need to go out and meet other people. She's a coworker. She's going to be around. You don't need to blow your entire load during the first week of meeting her. It can happen more naturally.

In both scenarios, you have a full complete life to live outside of this woman. It will not matter why she flaked (she probably doesn’t even know the REAL reason) but right now you need to evaluate why you are hurt over someone you don’t even really know.

You know her a little better now - someone who plays games and/or is flakey. You’re are already aware you can be needy. What exactly are you getting in your head about her not following up?

Why did you wait for her? Take the lead, man. I’d go do something fun with friends and text to ask if she wants to join. Or, if that’s not possible, text her now with “hey, it’s Friday night, should I send the helicopter to pick you up?” Or something. Have fun with it
