I'm naturally fidgety and prone to some ridiculous gestures. This endears me to my good friends, even to a certain kind of nerdy girl I've occasionally met in public. But most HBs telegraph that they're aware of my "restless hands" and not exactly in a positive way. This makes me hella self-conscious, ramps up the AA, kills my game.

Often I'll try to course-correct mid-conversation, anchoring my hands on my hips, putting them in my pockets, crossing arms, doing an "at ease" stance. But I've seen other nervous people do this and it just makes them seem more nervous and desperate to appear comfortable.

Any suggestions? Some kind of subtle "power stance" ... ? Help?
