What techniques have worked for you when asking cashiers/servers out?

First of all, don't ask out a cashier or server unless she shows STRONG interest in you. People at work are getting paid to be nice to you and are putting a lot of awkward pressure on them by asking them out because they are getting paid to be there and they can't leave or show disinterest to you. So unless she basically makes it clear she wants you to ask her out, don't ask her out. I've found that most of the guys that want to ask out cashiers or servers are only doing so because they have low self-esteem and they think that literally any "niceness" from a girl is interest.

Second, the note technique is terrible. It shows a lack of confidence that you can't just say that you are interested. If you are going to ask out a server or cashier, ask them straight up in words. Don't rely on a "note".

Server/cashier - "What's the problem?"

"It doesn't have your phone number on it."

I tried this. It was right enough timing because business was slow. She wasn't the actual one behind the register but was also behind the counter beside her. I guess they were partners on shift. My reason for it was, if this is possibly the last time I'm going to see her, I'm going to make the best of it.

It didn't ultimately backfire because my voice was right.

If you want to ask her out make sure you seem genuine and non needy. Also don't ask her out infront of all your buddies or staff cause it puts pressure on her.
