I approached this girl recently while out clubbing and we hit it off on the dance floor. We were dancing on and off, had a short conversation here and there, and pretty soon we were already kissing but I couldn't help but notice that she wouldn't hold eye contact with me for more than 1 or 2 seconds. Not when we were dancing 1 foot away from each other, nor when we were up close when I was going in for a kiss. It was obvious to me that she was interested, she rejected 3 guys in front of me and always came back to me to dance and grind but the eye contact started bothering me. I didn't bring it up since I didn't want to make her feel self-conscious but it has kept me wondering since then. Why do girls avoid holding eye contact even when interested?
