Im 27m and just barely I've got a hold on what's really going on w me

So don't take it personal, they might agree and after they realize they do have feelings or sum shit, but, you're doing ok, you set boundaries

Next time it presents itself, you can make it a point of what you've been going through and what you expect given the scenario, and If they catch feelings but its not reciprocated, move on, cold hearted but it is what it is, isn't it?

Fwb’s are like a staring contest without blinking, whoever blinks first lose. You could play the game but once you catch feeling you lose. Or some others treat their fwb’s like their toy/property, they don’t want their toys being played by another person. Regardless whether they’re men or women.

In defense of my gender, I expect more women would lose in this kinda game. But tbh in reality that’s not the case.

Unless you are conscientious and experienced it can be difficult, especially for men, as few experience this kind of unabated acceptance/intimacy. Its easier to come by for women. So without an integration of the feminine and a healthy conscious practice of what's going on, there's a pretty good chance feelings develop in men. This happens for women too.

Statistics show most FWBs end up in one of four ways with a roughly equal chance for each (in no particular order): they end things but remain friends, they enter a relationship, they remain FWBs, or they crash and burn the relationship altogether. You're rolling the dice each time.

I have had this problem. I don't think its necessarily men but people who think they want casual but deep down really want a connection with someone without the weight of a commitment. Which is stupid. You cannot have the emotional depth a gf/bf would have without the security that it is going somewhere

I think some men do want the gf treatment but don't want to give commitment.

Just ignore those men tbh, they are the worst casual sex partners on the face of the earth and ruin all FWBs situations they are in

Edit: also some people enjoy playing games and want their casual partners to become emotionally attached and chase them for a relationship even if they have no intention of getting into a relationship. Like an emotional ego boost that makes them feel worthy of love or something like that

This is the issue of men saying they want casual when what they really want is relationship affection that’s just one sided. Especially for top tier men, they likely expect the women to be fawning over them and wanting more which makes the sex and excitement more meaningful for them while more difficult for the women. It’s backwards but since you also know what it actually is and set boundaries that way, they kind of lost interest since they expected you to be subtly reaching for them. No one talks about this but this is the imbalance in what men expect casual sex to be like for them when they play the women a bit vs what actually happens when two people are on the same page. Sucks but this is how it is I’ve noticed.

Because most men don’t have game. Regardless of looks. Men that truly have game will not care if you treat them like a friend While he’s banging your back out.
