Why is it that whenever I watch infields, the guys at some point just start standing around?

I think it's because in most of Max's infields, the girls are chasing him since he's very handsome, so it's his way of kind of just trying to look cool, showing non-neediness and making her be the one to start a new thread of conversation. But it only works if she's super into you, otherwise she'll just be like ''He's boring. This is awkward, I'm going. Byeeee''. I like Max, but when I bought the natural I was disappointed at most of his infields as there was really not much to learn. Girls would open him and chase him from the beginning since he's good looking, and running sets the same way that Max does isn't gonna work for most guys.

Its because you have to allow space for the girl to put in work. Most guys put way too much pressure on themselves to do everything, build rapport, show your attractive traits, move the interaction forward, etc but that's the completely wrong mindset.

Your mindset should be that you need to do as little as possible. Just enough to make the girl want to put in the work, so that she will be the one trying to build rapport, so that she will try to show her attractive traits, so that she will try to move things forward.

You play a losing game when you simply try to prove how awesome you are to women because there will always be someone better than you so the best thing to do is to not even try to compete, instead work on getting the women to compete for you.

A Prince can be pursuing the woman you want but if she is pursuing you then you're still the one who will get her.
