People in the seduction community are often confused about preselection. Yes it can absolutely ruin your reputation. Preselection only works if other women see other women being interested in you. Attention coming from them towards you. And ideally, you ignoring that female attention.

If they see you hitting on women left and right this is not preselection. This shows other women you're desperate or a player. You're not monogamous. You're likely to cheat. Etc. All kinds of bad connotations. Your attention is spread out.

Women want a man that is highly desired by other women. But they want his desire to be only for her.

The more girls she thinks you get or the more girls other people see you with the better. Preselection is one hell of a thing.

Dude I literally got my first ex because she loved how I interacted with her friend who I was already flirting with/trying to date. Then when I got my second ex, she had literally watched me making out with another girl at the club. I have many other examples, but having women around me has always attracted more women.

I can see why you may not want to approach women around others you’ve already approached for attraction reasons. As for "other people" watching, I think it’s only worth worrying about their opinions if they have some sort of authority, like venue staff or university officials.

Beyond those practical concerns, I wouldn’t stress too much about the judgments of people who are weary of men simply approaching women. Some may hold negative views about men’s intentions and buy into certain "creep" narratives often promoted by liberals and feminists.
