my boyfriend 23M is saying i 23F cheated on him by kissing one of my best friends 22M while i was out drinking one night. this said friend is gay & a male. we’ve been dating 4 months now.

i didn’t see it as cheating, it was done as a joke basically bc he’s gay. i don’t see him as a male although he is. he hangs out with all of us girls as well as his boyfriend who was there that night with us. i see him as one of the girls.

my boyfriend is saying i cheated despite him being gay bc “another man tongue was in his girlfriends mouth”

i didn’t mean anything by what i did & i didn’t think it was cheating bc of him being gay. but he’s saying it is & now i don’t know what to do.

for context, the best friends boyfriend was there & out with us & saw it happen. my boyfriend was not he received a video of it from the group chat all of my friends & him are in that were were sending pictures & videos to throughout the night. so it wasn’t like we were trying to hide it, none of us thought there was anything wrong with it. i really didn’t mean anything of it & knowing how it makes him feel i would never do it again. i didn’t look at it as another man, i looked at it as when i get drunk & kiss any of my girlfriends.
