Jusges have a habbit of railroading your carfully laid out plans...I'm living it now.

Gathered evidence of her drinking and neglect for two years, absuive texts, more than 15 beratement sessions wher she is swearing at me...etc.

things aren't done yet, my complaint against her and the request for a separation was granted, but all that evidence didn't mean a lick in court, at least not yet. She is being treated as someone who hasn't caused a grievenc, and I'm in an at fault state, so I'm a little confused.

There are two sides to "court", the criminal court and family court.

If there was physical violence or threats of violence, and especially if you have proof, then you go to the police and file a report or even better get her charged with a criminal offense. As well, apply for a restraining order (this is where the recordings can come in handy).

For the actual divorce itself, most of that evidence won't matter to the family court judge, they aren't there to decide if she's liable/eligible for anything other than money and custody. You case will be bolstered if you have a restraining order against her and/or she's being criminally charged.

I believe you can go after her criminally. Once you get the guilty you can after her civilly. I just read a guys story that he did that but then didn’t finish her off civilly.

In my experience with my divorce I'm going through and other people I know, none of that shit matters unless you're going to trial, and you're not going to trial. Even then it doesn't mean much. It's all about $$$$, who makes more who has more, they use your kids as negotiating chips.
